3. Bartessera: Tucked inside a historic buildings courtyard this little bar/gallery/restaurant packs them in all day long. Excellent drinks, great little kitchen for simple bar food and rotating art exhibits. Watch out for the naughty clown that frequents the place.

7. Booze Cooperative: Local smoke filled hangout with excellent inexpensive drinks. A giant communal table dominates the main room filled with young people having coffee or a cocktail and playing backgammon.

Zagori: Villages hidden behind mountains

Zagori is an area of great natural beauty and unique architecture in the Pindus Mountains in Epirus in Northwestern Greece. The area is of about 1.000 square kilometers and contains 46 villages. Zagoria villages is called by Greeks “Zagorochoria” meaning the villages behind the mountain.
