The Aeschylia Festival

The Aeschylia Festival is running from August 28 to September 30 in the city of Elefsina.The festival is being hosted at the restored Elaiourgio, a former soap factory which is situated next to Elefsis's main archaeological site, where one of the most important initiation ceremonies of antiquity, the Elefsinian Mysteries, took place.This year’s festival includes several theatre performances -among them Stage Walkers by the National Theatre and The Servant of Two Masters by the Regional Theatre of Crete.

Stephen Antonakos will present the art exhibition The Search and Loukia Alavanou a video art show titled Episodio 3.A Cinema Week with screenings of Greek films has also been scheduled to take place from September 20 to 27, as well as several music concerts.
