ReMap3: An Int’l Contemporary Art Platform

ReMap3 started on September 12 in Athens with a dense and versatile international programme of exhibitions and events open to the public. This year's event further reinforces its international character, as it becomes a meeting point for more than 250 artists, art historians and curators from around the world.

The main exhibition programme is enriched with a range of performances, creative workshops and events staged in different venues in the Kerameikos & Metaxourgeio area of downtown Athens. ReMap 3 – which is held under the aegis of the Culture and Tourism ministry and the City of Athens and is part of the Athens Every Week programme – runs through to the end of October.

High fashion and jewelry join forces at the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum in an exhibition which is scheduled to run through December 28.

The Herakleidon Museum is presenting an exhibition of works by American artist Sol LeWitt , running until January 29, 2012. All the works are on loan from the New Britain Museum of American Art (Connecticut, USA).

The B&M Theoharakis Foundation for Fine Arts and Music is hosting an exhibition called Great Russian Painters 1920-2010, presenting artworks which belong to the permanent Manege Gallery collection in St. Petersburg.

An exhibition marking 170 years of the National Bank of Greece, and presenting the history of the first financial and credit institution in the country, running through three centuries, from 1841 to date.

The Hellenic American Union is hosting until December 20 an exhibition featuring artwork from the Muzeum Kresow collection, which consists of the award-winning works from the Triennale by the Muzeum and retained in its collection.
