British jazz vocalist Malia is appearing on November 26 at Gazarte in order to honour the "High Priestess of Soul" Nina Simone.
Malawi Born but London based Malia is going to present for the first time in Greece her Album Black Orchid – a tribute to Simone- whom she admired for her ability to convey her life experiences through songs of pain and passion.
Black Orchid speaks of love and lost opportunities, featuring mostly down tempo versions of classic Simone ballads, even a relaxed My Baby Just Cares for Me that reflects an inner satisfaction.
