We found the «Queen of Pasta» in Mykonos

In the past, the “island of winds” was only popular for its nightlife, nonstop clubbing and crowded beaches. Nowadays, Mykonos is being transformed to a gourmet destination full of flavors, spices and herbs. Apart from its delicious local products (spicy sausages, kopanisti, onion pie), Mykonos offers various gastronomical sins and more specifically lobster with spaghetti and tomato sauce that is regarded as the island’s local specialty. If you plan to spend your summer vacations here, we recommend you to try the “queen of pasta” since it is considered as the region’s “must” and most delicious dish. The lobster is a rare type of seafood and as an appetizer is regarded as the finest and richest one. Lobster-pasta is not spaghetti with lobster sauce. Instead, the lobster is boiled separately from the sauce and is accompanied by spaghetti with tomato sauce. In Mykonos, fresh lobster smells iodine, thus, you should try it for an unforgettable gastronomical experience.

Tip: We recommend you to accompany your pasta experience with a glass of local white wine and a fresh salad of raw and boiled vegetables, oregano and Greek olive oil.
