Chrysi Ammos is a well known beach that is located in Marmari (South Evoia) and an ideal place for windsurfing lovers. The reason? Winds are constant and northern here while the sea is closed and safe between the south coast of south Evoia and Mikros Petalios island.

Moreover, the strong currents of narrow channel in Evoia Gulf rank Chrysi Ammos as a top windsurfing destinations around Greece. A really interesting and surprising information that will excite you comes from the fact that Chrysi Ammos takes a different shape each single year depending on the erosion and backfill that is triggered through the winter waves. There are various ways for travelers to approach Marmari and Chryssi Ammos respectively but the fastest one suggests you to take the ferry boat from Rafina harbor (1 hour). When you arrive at Marmari, you can use a fishing boat to bring you directly to the lovely beach.
