Floodlit Athens by “Teleferik”

There are various ways to explore Athens but only one guarantees an unforgettable and romantic panoramic view over the capital of Greece. The funicular railway or teleferik is founded in Ploutarchou st. and Aristippou st. in Kolonaki area and leads to the small Chapel of Aghios Georgios and more specifically at Lykavittos Hill.

Teleferik was manufactured in 1960 and started operating for the visitors in 1965. It is composed of two wagons and the total amount of passengers that can use it each time is not more than 34. Teleferik is open for the public everyday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 AM (half hourly) and we suggest you to use it in the evening for a lovely panoramic view over the floodlit city of Athens. By your arrival at Lykavittos hill, the romantic atmosphere will contribute to your mood by awakening your most loveable feelings. Think of the Attic evening sky with a shining moon and the enlightened city to unravel in front of your eyes.

Tip: Near Lykavittos hill there is also a lovely café-restaurant to enjoy your drink/dinner along with the most vibrant, romantic view that you have ever seen by night…
