Antenna Group better known as ANT1 Group is a media group which owns and operates Antenna TV; a television broadcast network and producer of television programming in Greece. It was established in 1988 by Minos Kyriakou, the president and founder of Antenna Group. The groups operations include broadcasting, publishing, Internet services, telecommunications and a record label, ANT1 TV is the most important group member. ANT1 Group started in 1988 when it launched ANT1 97.2 FM, a radio station in Athens The following year Antenna Group expanded operations launching ANT1 Television.
ANT1 Group additionally expanded launching ANT1 Satellite and ANT1 Pacific. ANT1 Satellite was the first Greek network to broadcast to audiences in North America while ANT1 Pacific brought the 'best of' ANT1 TV to Australia and the pacific rim. On March 23, 2011, DISH Network renewed multi-year contract with Antenna Group for Greek programming.
Zagori is an area of great natural beauty and unique architecture in the Pindus Mountains in Epirus in Northwestern Greece. The area is of about 1.000 square kilometers and contains 46 villages. Zagoria villages is called by Greeks “Zagorochoria” meaning the villages behind the mountain.
