COCO-MAT


COCO-MAT was established in 1989, and maintains a large manufacturing unit of seven buildings in Xanthi, in Northern Greece. The company  today is considered a leading brand, producing natural sleep products, bed linen, towels and furniture for homes and hotels.  All the products are hand-made from natural materials from renewable sources, such as coco fibre, natural rubber, wool, cotton, sea grass, horsehair, silk, linen, wood and goose down. In particular COCO-MAT beds consist of multiple layers of natural materials, providing optimal, elastic support to the human body, without the use of metal springs.

The company in 2010as been awarded  the Corporate Social Responsibility Award for HR/Equal Opportunities by the Greek Advertisers’ Association the Corporate "Superbrand Award" in 2010 and the  Greek Business Award for Environmentally-Friendly Products. Committed to reducing its environmental footprint and providing naturally healthy products, COCO-MAT has effectively banned the use of chemicals in the treatment of products. Also by investing in new production methods, the company has achieved an impressive recycling rate of today 96%.

Zagori: Villages hidden behind mountains
