MYTILINEOS Group was founded in 1908 and is headquartered in Athens, Greece. 
Mytilineos Holdings S.A., through its subsidiaries, engages in metallurgy, construction, and energy businesses principally in Greece. It primarily focuses on metallurgy, EPC, energy, and defense sectors.

The company was established in 1990 and evolved from a family metallurgy business founded back in 1908. It holds a leading position in the sectors of Metallurgy & Mining, Energy, EPC works and Industrial Vehicles, maintaining, at the same time, considerable activity at international level.

From 1991 to 1994, through a series of acquisitions and mergers, the activities of the subsidiaries were transferred to the parent Company.
 In 2005 Mytilineos Group acquired "Aluminum of Greece" boosting the Group's commercial presence in the metallurgy sector by allowing it to also expand to industrial production.
In 2007 the company formed a strategic alliance with Spain-based Endesa for the creation of Endesa Hellas and finally in 2008 made a joint venture agreement with MOTOR OIL HELLAS S.A. for the joint construction, operation and exploitation of natural gas-fired power plants. MYTILINEOS HOLDINGS S.A. is supporting actively major cultural and educational initiatives, as well as actions for the protection of the environment.

Zagori: Villages hidden behind mountains

Zagori is an area of great natural beauty and unique architecture in the Pindus Mountains in Epirus in Northwestern Greece. The area is of about 1.000 square kilometers and contains 46 villages. Zagoria villages is called by Greeks “Zagorochoria” meaning the villages behind the mountain.
