Green Energy Co-operation

The International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS), in collaboration with the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SAM) organised a roundtable discussion on Energy Cooperation and Environmental Protection in the wider Black Sea area, on November 29.

The conference, which was held under the auspices of Greek Foreign Ministry, at the "Yiannos Kranidiotis" amphitheatre, took place within the framework of the "Hellenic-Azerbaijani Green Energy Forum", an ICBSS and SAM initiative under which a roundtable discussion on climate change and renewable energy sources was held in Baku in July 2011.

The discussion focused on the promotion of Hellenic-Azerbaijani relations in the field of energy and environmental protection issues, with a view to promoting environmentally friendly policies and adopting a clean energy model in the wider Black Sea area.
