Countdown to Xmas with…City Bazaars!

Christmas Book Fest

Starting today through December 18, a Christmas Book Fest will take place at the Konstantinos Kavafis Building of the City of Athens Technopolis. The Fest will feature a large Book Bazaar at specially low prices, book presentations, lectures and a chocolate laboratory for children.

The book fest is co-organized by the Hellenic Federation of Publishers and Booksellers (POEV) and the City of Athens. The event is part of POEV’s Read Me-Donate Me campaign, which aims at aiding peripheral public libraries, offering visitors the opportunity to donate books they have already read.

Xmas Fashion Bazaar

The Eurostyle Group Company hosts a charity fashion bazaar from December 27 to 30 at the Angelos Sikelianos Building of Technopolis.

Clothes and accessories by celebrity brands, including JLo by Jennifer Lopez, House of Dereon by Beyonce, Baby Phat, Enrico Covery, Nicky Hilton and more, will be on sale at 70% discount.

Six collectors’ items selected by Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Kimora Lee Simons and Nicky Hilton will be auctioned on December 27. The event proceeds will go to the Elpis (Hope) hostel for special needs children.

The Train of Life Bazaar

Be Strong NGO for the support of cancer patients is holding a Train of Life bazaar from December 17 to 24 at Technopolis. Featuring an exhibition of photos and art works by cancer survivors, the event aims to map the thorny journey following cancer diagnosis. Proceeds from the big Christmas present bazaar and various concerts will benefit the construction of the first holistic support centre for cancer patients.

RockinXmas Bazaar

Live music venue Gagarin 205 hosts its first RockinXmas Bazaar -all day rock party on December 18. Starting at noon till midnight, a large selection of rare vinyl records, movies, books, vintage clothing, comics, posters, collectibles, and rock memorabilia will be on sale at special X-mas prices. An all-day long DJ line-up on the venue’s stage, as well as a rockin’ cafe-snack bar, especially set up for the day, will provide the festive atmosphere.

Kethea Bazaar

The Family Support Centre Intervention of Kethea (Therapy Centre for Dependent Individuals) is organising a Christmas bazaar on 18, 19 and 20 December at Technopolis, selling handmade gifts and sweets. Intervention aims at raising public awareness concerning the consequences of drug use and securing the financial support of the programme, which was established in 1989 and for the last 20 years has provided free services to users of addictive substances.

Greek Bears Xmas Bazaar

The Greek Bears are holding their Xmas4 Bazaar on December 18 at Big Bar, Gazi area. Donations including used clothes, shoes, CDs, DVDs books and appliances are more than welcome! The event proceeds will go will to the Athens Pride association.

Fillozoiki Xmas Bazaar

The Hellenic Animal Welfare Society (Filozoiki) is hosting its annual Christmas bazaar on December 17 and 18 at Technopolis. This year’s event, dubbed Crisis Bazaar, aims at reviving old time classic flee markets where people exchange used clothes, appliances and decorative items at knock out prices! All proceeds will be used to care for homeless, sick and abused animals in need.
