  Georgios Papanikolaou (1883-1962)

•  Nicholas Negreponte
Nicholas Negreponte is one of the most prominent scientists on Computer-aided design and Media Analysis. He is the co-founder and director of the MIT Media Laboratory, where he is also professor of Media Technology.
•  Dimitris Nanopoulos (1948)
He was born in Athens on September 13, 1948. He studied Physics at the University of Athens and he graduated in 1971. He continued his studies at the University of Sussex in England, where he got his Ph.D. in 1973, in High Energy Physics.
•  Constantinos Karatheodori (1873-1950)
One of the greatest mathematicians of the 20th century, Constantinos Karatheodori was born in Berlin from Greek parents and died in Munich. He was considered a charismatic and brilliant student in Belgium, where he studied engineering, and in Germany, where he studied mathematics and became University professor.
•  Michael Dertouzos (died 2001)
He was born in Athens. As a Fulbright scholar, he studied at the University of Arkansas and then went to MIT, where he received his PhD, later becoming a member of its faculty. In 1968 he founded Computek Inc, a firm that designed the first intelligent terminals, which he sold in 1974.
